In memory of Logan Miles Torgersen June 22nd, 2015
Logan was the first baby Cael’s Angels had the honor of helping. Logan’s passing was a devastating to the Torgersen family. They were just a short time from welcoming their son into this world when they found out they had lost Logan. With the end-of-life expenses mounting Logan’s Grandmother offered his parents her plot to bury their son. Unfortunately that plot was in Utah. With all the other expenses they decided to seek financial aid from Cael’s Angels. After receiving the application and verifying eligibility Cael’s Angels agreed to help pay for a portion of the travel expenses to have Logan transported to Utah to be buried. Below is the email we received just before Christmas from the Torgersens.
Yesterday was six months since our son Logan was born. We were able to come back to Utah over Christmas to visit our family and we went yesterday to put a wreath at the cemetery. I wanted to write to you and the board to thank you for your help and for your kindness. I’ve started to write to you a few times but have never been able to finish a letter that says everything I want it to say. We are thinking of you and want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.
With our love,
Dallas, Adrianne, Maren, and Logan
“grief is the natural by-product of love. One cannot selflessly love another person and not grieve at his suffering or eventual death. The only way to avoid the grief would be to not experience the love; and it is love that gives life its richness and meaning.”
